Job Hunting and Resumes – Do’s and Don’ts

We all know that the economy’s pretty bad right now, and there are an awful lot of folks who are out of work and looking for jobs. And the competition can be pretty tough, so it makes sense to do whatever you can to make yourself stand out from the crowd. In this regard, employers tend to like employees who not only can do the job – that’s obvious! – but who are also “well rounded” individuals; for example, those who are active in their community. So if you are active in your community, make sure you state that on your resume, and provide examples to back that up. But don’t make the mistake that Gina Lou Bitters did, and say that you’re sexually active in your community. And for heaven’s sake, if you are, don’t provide examples.
