Oh, Duncan’s face is red, red, red. For the first time I’ve had to get rid of a post, or at least totally revise it. The original post was about how the folks at BaskinRobbins had come up with this totally new product, one that was a technological marvel but one they didn’t have any idea what it would be used for. Or so I thought that’s what it was about!
Well I got a call this evening, and the voice said “Duncan, this is Barb Arbuckle.” I said “Bar Bar who?” She said “no, not Bar Bar … Barb – Gar’s mom.” (You know, it never crossed my mind that her name sounded like Bar Bar.) I said “oh hi, Mrs. Arbuckle.” She said “Hon, it’s about your post – you know the one about the technological marvel.” She said “hon you don’t know, do you?” Well I didn’t have a clue what she was talking about.
She then proceeded to explain to me about what that particular product might be used for. Eewwhhh! How the hell did she know that? And what the hell was BaskinRobbins thinking? I’m very disturbed, and I don’t know how well I’m going to sleep tonight.
