Last night was one of those nights where I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, and when that happens, all sorts of thoughts run through my mind. At one point the idea popped into my head that while I was lying there it might be fun to re-work the Beatles' song Yesterday, so that it started out Yesterday, all my troubles seemed verboten. But after about ten minutes, all I had was:
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed verboten
Like the time that we went boatin'
And I just couldn't get any further, so I got up and went to the kitchen and ate a piece of cake. I might get back to the song some other time when I've got nothing better to think about, and I don't have any cake in the house.

Oh, I wonder what Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day will be today. Hmmm, let me think. This is actually kind of an interesting video in that it provides some background and an early live performance.
