Our Endorsement For President: Here’s a Hint, It’s Not That Ass-Wipe Romney

Today we’re joining many of our fellow major media outlets in publishing our endorsement for the office of President of the United States.  We enthusiastically support the re-election of President Barack Obama.  (Okay, truth be told, maybe not quite as enthusiastically as four years ago, but still relatively enthusiastically … a good seven on a one-to-ten.)  As for the specific rationale behind our endorsement, we refer you to the endorsements of the New York Times and Washington Post.  Yeah, what they said.

As for the challenger, Mitt Romney, what is the deal with him anyway?  Using our vivid imagination, we can conceive it’s possible that some well-meaning and even quasi-intelligent people could support the general thrust of the policies that Romney purports to represent.  They’d be wrong, of course, but as we say, we have a vivid imagination.  But the guy comes across as a weasel, with all the steely resolve of a jellyfish.  Plus, we’re concerned over our lingering suspicion that Rep. Paul Ryan may in fact have worn open-toed shoes during his Vice-Presidential debate with Joe Biden.  And this man could find himself within a heartbeat of becoming the President?  Sweet Jesus, no!

 Barack Obama for President.  Yowza!
