More on the Arbuckle's

Yesterday I told you about my dinner at the Arbuckle’s. Just an update: I talked to Gar, and it turns out that at dinner it was just a second type of soup, not a finger bowl as I had feared. That’s good. Nobody’s that fancy these days. (I don’t know which would have been worse; to drink the stuff in the finger bowl or wash my fingers in the soup.)

I realize I also forgot to mention what it is that Mr. Arbuckle does for a living, and it’s kind of interesting. A couple of years ago he started making instructional videos. His first one was called You Too Can Yodel, and I guess it did okay sales-wise. But then he followed up with a cleverly named sequel called You Two Can Yodel, which was about how to yodel in tandem, and that one sold really well. Gar says he’s working on a new one that’s almost finished. It’s about polka (ing?). Gar says he’s almost done, but he’s having trouble coming up with a title. I guess it’s down to two finalists: How ‘Bout We Polka? and “Polka This!” His agent is conducting focus groups to see which one “plays better.” (Me? No question, I’m pulling for Polka This!)
