Abscesses

If anybody asks me where the worst places to get an abscess are, I’ll be ready for them – right off hand I can think of two:

1) Chicago
2) Your scrotum

There’s probably a few others too.

(I asked Vulva if she could think of any others, but she said she thought I pretty much had it covered. I can’t help but think she didn’t try very hard.)

For Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day, we’re going with Patty Griffin. I don’t know how she’d feel about being featured on a day when we’re talking about abscesses, but I guess it’s the luck of the draw. She’s got a lot of great songs, and I had trouble picking just one … so I picked three. Hell, it’s my blog and I can do that. The first one, The Top of the World, is a really good live performance. The second, My Dear Old Friend, is probably my favorite of hers – the person who did the video paired the song with images from Hurricane Katrina, and it makes for a powerful video. The third song, Making Pies, is really good too, and once again, the person who did the video did a really nice job.
