Now let’s just pause right there because I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking this is just going to go down that tired, predictable path that so many limericks travel. But no, it doesn’t – that’s part of its charm.
There once was a girl from Venus
Who came down and sat right between us
She had big thighs
But she didn’t have eyes
So I don’t even think she seen us
What a delightful blending of poetry, science fiction and whimsy! It’s like I can see the whole scene unfold in my head. And the winning author is none other than our very own Dr. Nels Noodleman – nice job, Doc. Venus!? Man, where does he come up with this stuff? It's like he's a genius or something.

In a bizarre twist, Dr. Noodleman insisted that if his entry won, rather than winning the prize (which was just a complimentary “Noodle-‘in” from his own clinic), he wanted to select Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day.
