Musical Lemonade

Mr. Jeepers has been working long and hard on a new song, one that he feels really good about in terms of its potential to become a smash hit, and hopefully, a money-maker. He originally called it “Getting Sexed-Up For Christmas.” Then his publisher told him the title was too “overtly Christian,” so he had to change it to “Getting Sexed-Up for the Holidays.” Turns out he likes that even better! (Hence the lemonade.) Here’s just a little preview:

Getting sexed-up for the Holidays
Getting excited ‘bout the snowy days
Getting excited ‘bout the J’s and K’s
Getting sexed-up for Christmas

Mr. Jeepers wanted me to make sure to let folks know that when he says “sexed-up,” he doesn’t mean that in any kind of a sexual way, but only in a happy, joyful, excited way. I can vouch for him there, that’s just the way he talks sometimes. It’s not unusual to hear him say something like he’s getting sexed-up for dinner. (I suggested he might want to spell it “sextup,” but he thought that could just confuse people.)

Hopefully we’ll all have a new tune to hum this December.

I couldn’t find any comparable song for Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day, but here’s one definitely worth getting sextup over: Mark Knopfler, a full orchestra, an accordionist, just a heck of a good song.

Title: Brothers in Arms
