Oh, Well, That Makes a Big Difference

So Vulva and I were playing a game last night, and she had the radio playing in the background. And this old song comes on, Send in the Clowns, and she commented that she really liked the song and hadn’t heard it for a long time. I said I could just never get past the one ridiculous line. And then I kind of launched into a mini tirade, saying that if anyone could like that kind of humor it’d be me – that in fact I often revel in it – but even I thought it was a shame that they’d sacrifice an otherwise great song for a cheap laugh. Even now it makes me mad, I said.

And all the while I’m talking Vulva’s looking at me like I’m a crazy person, and when I’m done with my tirade she says in a really exasperated voice, what line are you talking about? I said “Don’t you love farts – my fault, I fear.” She said “it’s farce, Duncan, farce, f-a-r-c-e. Don't you love farce?”

Oh.

Never mind.

* * * * *

Well it’s time for Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day, and I’m just gonna go with what I always called the fart song – guess I’ll have to start calling it something else. (And I guess I'll also have to stop always saying "my fault, I fear" after farting.)
