Was I Out of Line to Say That the Things On Her Face Looked Like Ass Barnacles?

I wasn’t trying to be rude, but man, that’s just what they looked like to me. And it’s not like I just offered my opinion unsolicited, out of the blue. No, she asked me. What she said was “Duncan, these things on my face … would you say they look like, oh I don’t know, love nuggets?” Well I’m pretty familiar with love nuggets, and that’s what I told her. “Governor,” I said, “I know love nuggets, and those things don’t even remotely look like love nuggets.” “Well, what do they look like?” she said. And that’s when I said “ass barnacles” – it was the first thing that popped into my mind. And frankly, it was spot-on because that’s exactly what they looked like! But I didn’t want to leave on a down note, so I wished her both a Merry Christmas AND a happy new year, as I walked out the door whistling Here Comes Santa Claus.
