[Blank] is a many splendored thing.
Is it:
A. Sarah Palin
B. Cedar-Planked Salmon
C. Anti-matter
D. Love
Let’s take them one-by-one.
Sarah Palin is NOT a many splendored thing. No way, no how. Even if she were to shut her yap hole, she still would be far, far removed from being a many splendored thing. (And the likelihood of her shutting her yap hole anytime soon seems remote.) If you answered Sarah Palin, well, I can only shake my head.
It’s hard to find a better summertime dinner than cedar-planked salmon, pasta salad and corn-on-the-cob. Ummh, ummh, umh. So cedar-planked salmon is most definitely a splendored thing, but here’s the thing, it’s not a many splendored thing. It’s pretty much a single splendored thing. If this was your answer, I think you should try to expand your horizons just a little.
Anti-matter? Could be, hell if I know. I just threw it in at the end ‘cause I wanted four choices. If this was your answer, and you’re not just guessing but you really know something about it, okay, I’ll give it to you, at least conditionally – it seems plausible.
Love? Yup, that’s it. And we know that for a certainty because there was a movie and a song that said so, and that’s good enough for me.

It’s that time, and guess what Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day is today? This is one of my guilty pleasures. It’s almost embarrassing to admit that I like this song, but I really do … even though it’s from such a different era. It’s one of a couple of thousand songs on my iPod so it only comes up every few months, but when it does I always sing along. Particularly when it gets about to that minute-and-55 second part – I can belt it out almost as loud as Andy himself.
