Canadians – Aren’t They Just Cute as the Dickens?

Vulva and I have come to Vancouver for a few days. We got in yesterday, July 1st, which happens to be Canada Day. They make a much, much bigger deal of it than we do down in the US. Good for them!

The thing about them being as cute as the dickens … I suppose not all of them are. But for the most part they seem like nice, pleasant, civilized people. But the ones that are cute as the dickens are those who punctuate their comments with “eh,” as in “we had a good breakfast, eh, with pancakes and lots of maple syrup and sausage." I think “eh” is how you spell it, but it sounds like “hey” without the “h.” You hear someone talk like that, and you just want to pinch their cheek or tousle their hair or something. It's just hard to imagaine that someone could talk like that and be a jerk. It's possible, I suppose, but until reality proves me wrong, that's what I choose to believe.

Here’s one of my favorite Canadian musicians with Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day. It’s an oldie but a goodie, eh?
