Good-Bye Hawaii – Adieu to You and You and You

We’re packing up and going home this morning. Shipuhfuh. What with the mai tais and all, I thought it’d be fun to leave the restaurant we had dinner at on our last night in Hawaii with a version of that charming little song that the Von Trapp children sang in the Sound of Music. But Vulva put the kibosh on that.

Vulva just got back from going to a little store in a strip mall behind the place we’re staying. She said that there’s a clothing store there with a sign saying their hours are “10-ish to 6-ish.” That says so much about Hawaii.

I am coming away with one new phrase that I like pretty well: “strings in [one’s] loins" (could be his, her, their, your, my … whatever loins you like). Without going into detail, “strings” came from “stirrings.” I like it. Hawaii is conducive to strings.

Aloha.

Here’s another repeat for Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day. It just seems right.
