Somebody Else’s Good Joke

For some reason I keep thinking back to a joke I heard on TV last summer. It was a commercial clip for the show Last Comic Standing, a show I really didn’t care for all that much. But the joke made me laugh out loud when I first heard it, and that doesn’t happen all that often, and even now, months later, I still smile when I think back to it – I like the imagery it creates in my mind. I don’t know which contestant’s joke it was so I can’t give due credit, but here’s how I remember it:

I went to a restaurant the other night, and at one point I had to go to the bathroom. So I went to the restroom and did my thing, and I noticed a sign that said “Employees Must Wash Hands!” I thought to myself “I’m not going to wait around for some employee to come in and wash my hands,” so I just did it myself and went back to my table.

We have another incredible performance by Bruce Springsteen et al for Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day, this one from the Conan O’Brien show. It’s really excellent.
