Some Free Advice For John Sununu

Have you ever heard of John Sununu (pronounced Suh-new-new)? Well, actually there’s a couple of them. There was a John H. Sununu who was Governor of New Hampshire, and later Chief of Staff to the first President Bush. Then there was his son, John E. Sununu, who was a Senator from New Hampshire. And I wouldn’t be surprised if there were more of them, because that’s the way things are. Hey, I’ve got a great suggestion for you.

Whatever you’re doing, professionally speaking, drop it, and turn your attention to the outdoors and outdoor recreation. More specifically, turn your attention to canoes. And then – now, here’s the kicker – start a newsletter or a website, and call it:

John Sununu’s Canoe News

It will be the absolute best name ever! The only thing that could possibly make it better is if there was a nephew or cousin or somebody completely unrelated, named Stu, and then it could be Stu Sununu’s Canoe News.

I hope you appreciate the effort I’ve put into this post because, frankly, I’ve really had to reach for it, and it’s a little embarrassing. I may actually have strained something.

There’s absolutely nothing catchy about the name O.A.R.’s Canoe News, but nonetheless we’re featuring one of their songs as Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day.

  1. It was worth the reach. Sununu would mention you in the paper for news on canoes.

  2. Unless he slept through the good parts, which we'd have to characterize as a John Sununu's Canoe News Snooze. Thanks for your input Mr. F!
