We – and I want to be clear that by “we” I do mean “I” - had intended on presenting a delightful post on how our efforts to come up with an amusing poem on sexual ambiguity were being stymied due to the difficulty in finding suitable rhymes. We were going to note that the few potential rhyming candidates, like “annuity” or “acuity,” were simply unworthy. The highlight of the intended post was going to be the inclusion of a photo, without any comment whatsoever, of Mitch McConnell. That was the comedic artistry. Brilliant!
Unfortunately, shortly before press time we made the mistake of consulting an online rhyming dictionary, and there we discovered “incongruity,” “ingenuity,” and “promiscuity.” Well crap. Clearly these are high-quality rhymes, and their very existence blows the very premise of our intended post totally out of the water. While we could just go ahead and come up with an actual poem, that would entail more effort than we care to engage in at the moment. Consequently, plans for this post are currently “on hold.”
