Rumors Swirl That Paul McCartney May Headline First Annual Vulva Meadows Music Fest

As just about everybody knows by now, the First Annual Vulva Meadows Music Fest is coming up next month.  Rumors are swirling that none other than Sir Paul McCartney may headline the show.  As the creator of this universe, I decided to find out for myself, so I went directly to the horse’s mouth (so to speak) and asked R.R. Arbuckle who is the chair and talent coordinator for the inaugural festival.  His response?  He just rolled his eyes and said “well, I suppose anything is within the realm of possibility.”   Call me a naïve optimist, but that sounds like a definite maybe to me.

Regardless of whether McCartney shows up or not, it’s shaping up to be a great lineup.  Local favorites White and Wong will be there as will the always engaging The Singing Cornholes.  (Officer Cornhole has reportedly fathered another illegitimate child, so the group keeps expanding and getting better.)  And, two more acts will be making their local debuts:  Sweet Leviticus and the Personal Wipes, and self-described fem punk duo Tittie Andrews and Her Sister Lottie.   (Spoiler alert: Lottie is really the front woman for this act, while Tittie primarily provides percussion, backup noises and moral support.)  Tom Petty is also scheduled.

This is an exciting time to be in Vulva Meadows!

Here’s a live version – as “live” as something recorded in 1970 can be – of the Doors’ Roadhouse Blues for Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day.
