I Heard a Great Version of Leonard Cohen’s Masterpiece “Hallelujah” This Morning, And It Gave Me the Inspiration For My Newest Song – “I’d Love to Howdy-do Ya”

Pardon me ma’am,

I’m not very bold
But it sure is cold
And I’d love to howdy-do ya
 
That’s just a sample, since it’s still a work in progress, but I have very high hopes for it.

(Yes, long time readers will no doubt recognize that thematically this is similar to “I’d Love to Duncan Funk You,” but this has a definite country folk orientation whereas the latter was much more in the mold of a traditional American standard.)
