Last night was not a good night. It started out good. My friend Gar had called to say his family was gone for the night, and so he and his new romantic interest, Eleanor Galore, had the house to themselves. So me and Vulva and our friend Roy Noyes went over to his house to celebrate diversity. Well I guess things got a little louder than we thought, because his neighbors called the police. So we’re celebrating, and all of a sudden there’s a knock on the door, and we open it, and it’s the police! We explained what we were doing, and they were very understanding (and supportive – they even gave us stickers!). They just asked us to quiet things down a bit, and then they left.
So I guess it wasn’t that big of a deal – it’s just that none of us have ever had a run-in with law enforcement before (well except for Officer Cornhole). But afterwards it really made me think about what a fine line there can be between good times and bad. It’s a very delicate balance…it’s fragile. And now it looks like Mr. Sting has something to add. (As a former Policeman, I think his take is especially important.)
