Let's Meet Some Friends, Okay?

Yesterday a friend of mine, Roy Noyes, and I went over to another one of our friend’s house, Gar Arbuckle’s. We rang the doorbell and Gar came to the door. We were there talking, and Gar’s dad was kind of in the background and he asked Gar who it was, and Gar said “it’s Roy and Duncan, is it okay if they come in?” And his dad said “sure, bring in da’ Noyes and bring in da’ Funk.” I didn’t really understand it, but later on I told Mr. Jeepers about it and he explained it to me. So I guess it was pretty funny. (You know, I never thought about it but I guess Roy Noyes is kind of a funny name. His real name is LeRoy, with the accent on the “Roy,” but he doesn’t like to go by that ‘cause he thinks it sounds too French. I’m glad I’m not named LeDuncan.)

I usually don’t like to namedrop, but Mr. Jeepers told me that Gar’s dad, R.R. Arbuckle, was just elected president of the Vulva Meadows Neighborhood Watch Program. So he’s kind of a bigwig – R.R. Arbuckle, President! I think I might like to be President someday. Duncan Funk, for a change you can believe in. I’m going to think about it, because I bet I could come up with even a better slogan. Maybe Duncan Funk, a wide stance for America!

If you're counting, you know that this is just my second post. I let Vulva read the first one, and the first thing she said was "you made a mistake." And she told me instead of saying "without further adeiu," I should have said "without further ado." Geez, I was just trying to be funny, Vulva!

And now can we have a warm welcome please for Our Duncan Funk Song of the Day. This is a really great song - for Vulva and me, it's like "our song." Click on the title to see the video.
